Sparkle’s IP Monitor helps you track the health and reputation of your sending IPs in real time. It checks critical metrics like Reverse DNS (rDNS), Blacklist status, and Reputation score to ensure your emails reach the inbox — not the spam folder. You’ll also get alerts if your IP appears on any blacklist or if your health score drops.

By catching issues early, you can maintain strong deliverability and protect your sender reputation. Use IP Monitor to stay proactive, not reactive, about your IP health.

Step 1: Start by Adding a Domain

Click Add IP on the IP Monitor dashboard.

  • IP (e.g., 192.168.1.1 – This format is only allowed)

Step 2: Enter IP Details and (Optional) Set Recurring Checks

  • IP Address: Enter your IP or paste multiple IPs in bulk.

  • Group Name: Add a group name to organize your entries (optional).

  • Enable Recurring Check: This is optional. If enabled, you can automate monitoring.

  • Monitoring Frequency: Once "Enable Recurring Check" is selected, choose how often Sparkle should run checks:

    • Every day

    • Every 3 days

    • Every 7 days

    • Every 30 days.

Step 3: Set Up Optional Alerts

(Optional but highly recommended)

  • Select action group: Choose which group should receive alert notifications.

  • Select alerts to receive:

    • IP health score drops below a set threshold (e.g., 90%)

    • rDNS resolution failure

    • IP appears on blacklists

  • Customized message: Add any specific message you'd like included in alerts for context.

Step 4: Run the Test

  • Click Run Test to start monitoring. You can also click Cancel to exit without saving.

Step 5: Monitor Status and Results

After starting, your IP will appear on the main IP Monitoring dashboard:

  • Avg Health Score: Shows overall health trend over time.

  • Blacklist status: Confirms if your IP is listed or clean.

  • DNS record statuses: Displays DMARC, SPF, DKIM, and MX record health.

  • Status: Indicates current progress (e.g., "In Progress").

Pro Tips for Using IP Monitor in Sparkle

  • Set up recurring checks for critical sending IPs. Even if you check manually now, enabling automated checks helps you detect sudden reputation changes without missing a beat.

  • Use action groups wisely. Assign alerts to the right teams (e.g., IT or deliverability team) so they can act fast when something goes wrong.

  • Keep an eye on authentication records. SPF, DKIM, and DMARC failures are common causes of emails landing in spam — monitor these closely.

  • Check blacklist status regularly. A sudden listing can tank your email deliverability and reputation; immediate action helps limit damage.

  • Leverage groups to stay organized. Grouping IPs by brand, product line, or region makes tracking easier as your list grows.

Final Thoughts

Sparkle’s IP Monitor isn’t just another dashboard — it’s your early-warning system for maintaining high deliverability and a spotless reputation.

By tracking rDNS, monitoring blacklist status, and alerting you to reputation dips, Sparkle helps you stay ahead of issues before they impact your outreach.

Keep your IPs clean and your sparkle unstoppable.
